Call for Best Post-graduate Thesis Award

PFGF BEST POST-GRADUATE THESIS AWARDS 2018 & 2020

Background

Most of the Fisheries Colleges under the State Agricultural Universities and a National University in Fisheries are offering postgraduate education in Fisheries. Other Colleges, which do not have postgraduate education, intend to start the program in the near future. Annually, about 250 students complete their post-graduation programs from these institutions. In addition, few of the graduates have been successful in securing admission in foreign Universities and they have been serving as role models and guide to other aspiring graduates to pursue education in the best institutions. With a view to increase the quality of postgraduate research and early publication of results emerging from postgraduate research, PFGF has introduced the “Best Postgraduate Thesis” awards scheme with the following objectives.

Objectives

1.  To increase the quality of research carried out by the postgraduate students

2.  To encourage the early publication of results in high impact journals

3.  To recognize the best researchers at an early stage and provide them support
